Hi all,
It was great to see many of you at the meet yesterday! We hope you all had fun. Thanks to all our volunteers who helped the meet to run smoothly.
A few updates:
  1. There will be no practice on Friday, July 1st and Monday July 4th.
  2. There will be a stroke clinic for swimmers on Friday, July 1. Swimmers interested in some one-on-one stroke work need to sign up in the WRC main office by June 30th!
  3. Our next meet is at home on Tuesday, July 5th. We ask swimmers to arrive by 3:45 so they can be ready to get in the pool at 4pm.
  4. There is a Stroke and Turn clinic on Wednesday July 6th at 6:30 for those parents interested in becoming officials. If interested, please contact a WST coach.
Have a happy and safe holiday weekend!

UVAC Meet on Sunday, June 26th

Our first swim meet is at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in WRJ, Vermont. We are swimming with the UVAC Swim Team and the Brattleboro Swim Team.

Warm-ups start at 1pm
The meet starts at 2pm

I would recommend that swimmers arrive to the pool by 12:30. This will give them time to change and find their way around. Swimmers should be in their suits and on the pool deck by 12:45 to meet with coaches.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Monday, June 20, 2011

It was great to see many of you and your swimmers today! Here are a few quick reminders to help get us off to a great season!

  1. We will be handing out medical releases at practice and need them filled out and returned ASAP. You can also pick one up at the front desk.
  2. Our annual Pancake Breakfast is on FRIDAY JUNE 24TH, from 12-2pm. If you are planning on coming, please either email us or sign up on the YELLOW SHEET on our bulletin board. We will need volunteers, food donations, and swimmers!
  3. We need the yellow meet sign up and volunteer sheets back by WEDNESDAY so we can enter your swimmer into meets. We cannot enter swimmers without this form. Copies of these 2 forms will be sent via email if you’ve misplaced them.
  4. There is no invitational meet at Springfield (CRVS).
  5. We have our FIRST MEET on SUNDAY, at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center. If there is a change in whether or not your swimmer will be attending (different from the yellow sheet you handed in), please let us know.

See you at practice!

Thursday, June 16, 2011

Update: We will be holding morning practices on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8-9am. This practice is for swimmers 11 and older or swimmers with prior approval from a coach. If you have any questions, contact the WST coaches.
